Mubadala Development Company is the majority shareholder of Piaggio Aerospace, owning 98.05% of the company’s share capital.
A shareholder in Piaggio Aerospace since 2006, Mubadala participated in a share capital increase in 2013, boosting equity in support of an industrial plan that focussed on developing existing core activities and introducing new programs to bring the company in line with industry requirements.

Mubadala - the Arabic word for ‘exchange’ - was established in 2002 by the Government of Abu Dhabi as a principal agent in the diversification of Abu Dhabi’s economy. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi’s Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, is Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Ing. Piero Ferrari

Chairman of Piaggio Aero Industries from 1998 to 2014, Piero Ferrari is today the owner of 1.95% of Piaggio Aerospace’s total share capital.. At the head of a business consortium responsible for the asset acquisition of IAM Rinaldo Piaggio in 1998, he boosted industrial activity spearheading the P.180 Avanti II and Avanti EVO aircraft and securing the future of aero engine production. Under Piero Ferrari’s chairmanship, the company entered the defence and security sector, launching the P.1HH HammerHead and MPA Multirole Patrol Aircraft programs.

The son of Enzo Ferrari, founder of Scuderia of Maranello, Piero Ferrari took his first position with the family company in 1965 in the purchasing department, working on the production of the Dino 206 Competizione racing car. His career in the home of the Prancing Horse saw him fulfil a variety of management positions in the motor sports division, where he was responsible for the purchasing and production of racing car components. From 1970 to 1988 he worked alongside his father Enzo Ferrari with increasing responsibility, handling production schedules for Formula 1 components, coordinating activities in the Technical Office and Advanced Studies Office as well as managing crucial relations with suppliers, sponsors and the International Federation.
Appointed Vice President of Ferrari S.p.A. in 1988, Piero Ferrari went on to found High Performance Engineering (known today as HPE-COXA) in 1998, a year which also marked the beginning of his three year term as Chairman of the Italian Motor Sport Commission (CSAI).
Awarded the prestigious Cavaliere del Lavoro title in 2004, Piero Ferrari received an honorary degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II the same year. The University of Modena and Reggio Emilia presented him with an Honorary Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2005.
His current entrepreneurial roles as Vice Chairman of Ferrari SpA, Chairman of HPE-COXA and CEO of BA Service S.p.A. place him among the most authoritative ambassadors of Italian high technology active in the world today.

Alberto Galassi

Alberto Galassi is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Piaggio Aerospace.

Attorney at law specialised in International Commerce and Arbitration, from 1995 to 1997 Alberto Galassi held the position Board Member delegate to Sales and Marketing at Novico, an industry leader producing medical and healthcare equipment, including the renown Hatù-Ico brand.
In 1998 he became a member of the Piaggio Aerospace Board of Directors responsible for Marketing and Sales, holding a post on the Executive Committee until 2008. Subsequently, Alberto Galassi served as Chief Executive Officer for Piaggio until his appointment to the position of Company Chairman in 2014.
Mr. Galassi is also currently Chief Executive Officer of the Ferretti Group, a world leader in the design, construction and sale of luxury motor yachts. In June of 2012, he joined the Board of Directors at Manchester City Football Club.
Mr. Galassi managed the former I.A.M. Rinaldo Piaggio acquisition, overseeing a team led by Piaggio engineer Piero Ferrari. Consequently, he played a key role in the company’s revival, thanks to the design and implementation of new strategies that have enabled the P.180 Avanti II aircraft to conquer international markets, in turn bringing equal success to the Piaggio Aerospace engine division.
Piaggio Aerospace has diversified production under Mr. Galassi’s directorship, paving the way for the company’s entry into the defence and security field with its MPA program (Multirole Patrol Aircraft) and spearheading the revolutionary P.1HH HammerHead; the first remotely piloted MALE class aircraft system (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) to be designed and developed in Europe.
During his tenure at Piaggio Aerospace, Alberto Galassi has forged strategic alliances with key partners, investors and international shareholders.

Carlo Logli is CEO at Piaggio Aerospace.

Carlo Logli was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Piaggio Aerospace in May 2014. Graduating in aeronautical engineering from the University of Rome in 1986, he completed a Masters in Business Administration at I.A.E. (Institut d'Administration des Entreprises) in Toulouse in 1994.
A member on the board of education for the Air Transport Master Program at the University of Rome, Mr. Logli teaches at the Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civil (Civil Aviation Authority) as well as at Euresas and E.S.C. (École Supérieure de Commerce) in Toulouse. He is also co-author of the book "Aeronautical Marketing: Scenarios, Techniques and Strategies", published in 2003.
Having gained experience in production techniques at Procter & Gamble and program management at the European Space Agency, Carlo Logli joined the Alenia-Finmeccanica group in 1990 as part of the French-Italian ATR consortium.
In Toulouse, he has fulfilled various roles including Vice President of Sales in Europe, Middle East and International Marketing until August 2003. He has also been a board member for the European Regional Airlines association.
Having been appointed to the post of Senior Vice President Programs and Commercial at Aermacchi in 2006, Mr. Logli went on to become Senior Vice President - Business Unit Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and Special Airborne Systems at Alenia Aeronautica.
In 2011 Mr. Logli became CEO of SuperJet International, a joint Russian-Italian venture between Alenia Aeronautica (51%) and Sukhoi Holding (49%). The company is involved in marketing, sales, customisation and delivery of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 regional jet in Europe, America, Oceania, Africa and Japan.
Prior to joining Piaggio Aerospace, Mr. Logli was Senior Advisor for Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI), a subsidiary of Tawazun Holding.
