Piaggio Aero at ATC GLOBAL 2010

Piaggio Aero S.p.A. will attend together with ENAV the ATC Global, the most important European event on the air traffic control sector.

The event will take place at the Amsterdam Rai from 9th to 11th March 2010, and it is predicted to be a meeting opportunity with the foremost international providers of ATM (Air Traffic Management) services.

The ENAV stand - which will attend the ATC Global for the seventh time - is featuring multimedia areas presenting the company's core business activities. Particular emphasis will be given to the Flight Inspection Service, with the exhibition of a scale model of a P180 aircraft, used by ENAV.

Piaggio Aero will be present at ENAV stand showing a 1:10 scale of the P180 Avanti II Aircraft FI. The P180 Avanti II is the Flight Inspection and calibration platform  selected  and operated by ENAV to ensure in-flight monitoring of radio assistance for routes and airports (VOR, DME, ILS etc.), in order to validate the accuracy of the indications provided and compliance with international rules.


ENAV is the italian Air Traffic Control Agency: Transformed into a publicly controlled joint-stock company, ENAV's goal is to allow aircraft to fly within the assigned airspace with constantly enhanced levels of safety, optimizing the effectiveness of the service provided and the efficiency of the company.

ENAV can count on about 3,300 employees, two thirds of which are in charge of perational activities, and provides control and support to allow approaches, departures and landings from the control towers in 39 airports spread over the Italian territory, a Roma. ENAV manages more than 2 million flights per year, an average of 6,000 flights ENAV is a component of the European ATM (Air Traffic Management) system and it participates with full rights in all the activities of development, operational validation, research and coordination with systems that are perfectly integrated with the international technological context.
