Piaggio Aero is attending India Aviation 2012

Piaggio Aero will participate at the third International Exhibition and Conference on Civil Aviation – India Aviation - 2012, taking place between Wednesday 14th and Sunday 18th March 2012 at the Old Hyderabad Airport.

Conducted once every two years, the show is expected to provide aviation and allied industrialists a platform to showcase their products and services.

This year India Aviation got bigger with 20,000 square meters of exhibition area, more than 250 exhibitors and participants from 18 countries. More than 8,000 business visitors are expected during the five days event.

Piaggio Aero will display the P.180 Avanti II executive aircraft belonging to Indian client MSPL.

Piaggio Aero has high hopes for this air show, since India is gradually becoming a focal point in the global aviation map with the growing air traffic (passenger and cargo), route expansion, followed by major airport infrastructure developments.

The Piaggio Aero P.180 Avanti II is the only business aircraft with the speed of a jet and the economics of a turboprop. In terms of outright fuel efficiency, lowering operating costs without sacrificing performance or environmental responsibility and less fuel burn means lower carbon emissions.

The main feature of the Avanti II is the patented three-lifting-surface configuration, which allows a 34-per-cent reduction in total wing area over conventional designs, together with a non-cylindrical, low-drag fuselage shape.
